It’s triAthlone time again and we have updated our popular triAthlone app to give the people exactly what they want; results, results, results. We are working with Neptron Timing to bring you per second live timing information straight to your iPhone and iPod touch.

What’s Changed?

This year, we have streamlined the experience.

  • The app allows you to find an athlete by entering either their name or race number.
  • The results screen shows the split times for the various checkpoints (Swim, T1, Bike, T2 and Run/Finish).
  • The app automatically updates so there’s no need for a “refresh” button :)
  • Once the athlete has cleared the second checkpoint, the results screen will start showing a graphical representation of their pace.
  • The results screen is beautiful so we have given you the opportunity to save it to your camera roll by simply tapping the share button on the top right of the screen. Once there, you can also share your results to Facebook, post to Twitter, send an SMS or an email.

The App’s Persona

The photo we used in the app is from Don Horne, a Dublin based photographer. The moment we saw it we knew we had to use it in the app. Don kindly gave us permission to use it and it has given the app it’s unique persona.
